What is it? How can I provide this to my child or spouse?

Effective therapeutic interventions start at the end. For example, asking the question, "When did you know that you were alright? or when did you know you were safe? And then work toward the originating (traumatic) event to identify, process and express emotions. And somatic experience (the body's stored experience)

Most traditional Cognitive-behavioral approaches to therapy start with the actual event itself, with the belief that healing occurs through the detailed expression of the experience.
